What is Laima?
Laima is our custom take on Tree of Savior - reimagined as the game we think it should have been, drawing heavy inspiration from the open-world philosophy of Ragnarok Online.
Open World, Not Linear Questing
The official ToS experience pushes you through a linear questline from start to finish. Laima throws that out. We want an open world where you explore, grind, and discover content at your own pace - not because a quest marker told you to go there.
Class Identity Matters
Every class should feel distinct. In Laima, we're reworking skills, damage formulas, and class mechanics so that each job brings something unique to the table. Picking a Barbarian should feel fundamentally different from picking a Highlander - not just a different set of skill effects doing the same thing.
A Total Overhaul
This isn't a few tweaks on top of the base game. We've reworked the world map layout, mob drops, damage calculations, skill balancing - essentially everything. Laima is a ground-up overhaul of the ToS experience built on top of the Melia server emulator.

Forum Guidelines
1. Be Respectful
Treat everyone with respect. Disagreements are fine - personal attacks, harassment, and toxicity are not.
2. Stay On Topic
Post in the appropriate section. Keep discussions relevant to Laima, Melia, and Tree of Savior server development.
3. Constructive Feedback
We welcome feedback on balance, class design, and features. Be specific and constructive - "this skill feels weak because X" is useful, "this sucks" is not.
4. Credit Your Contributions
If you share code, scripts, or modifications, credit the original authors where applicable. This is a community effort.
